Job Requirements:


1. Ph.D. graduates within three years of graduation (<35 years old) or current Ph.D. candidates in materials engineering, mechanical engineering, mechanics, or related fields. Candidates with a background in 3D printing, solid mechanics, bioinspired materials, ceramic materials, or structural design are preferred.


2. Proficient in English writing and communication.


3. Strong teamwork and communication skills.


4. Ability to design experimental protocols, conduct experimental explorations, and collect scientific data.

Silk Road Chinese Government Scholarship Program


Project Introduction

The "Silk Road" Chinese Government Scholarship Program is a scholarship provided by the Ministry of Education of China to some Chinese universities to help universities directly select and recommend outstanding students from the "Belt and Road" countries to study in China. Entrusted by the Ministry of Education, Beihang University participates in this project to recruit international students from the "Belt and Road" countries to study for a master's or doctoral degree at Beihang University.

The "Silk Road" Chinese Government Scholarship Program is a full-time, fully funded scholarship program for international students funded by the Chinese government. The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and comprehensive medical insurance (excluding international travel expenses).

The 2025/2026 academic year of the “Silk Road” Chinese Government Scholarship Program at Beihang University will start in September. The study period for master’s students is 2 to 3 years, and the study period for doctoral students is 4 years.

Application Requirements

1. Non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy.

2. Age, education and language requirements:

o Applicants for master's degree programs must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, have excellent academic performance, and be under 35 years old;

o Applicants for doctoral degree should have a master's degree or equivalent, excellent academic performance, and should be under 40 years old;

o a score of at least HSK Level 4, or IELTS requires a score of 6.0, TOEFL requires a score of 90, and Duolingo requires a score of 105. It is recommended to submit GRE scores at the same time (if available).

3. Students with materials engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, mechanics, Chemistry, or related fields.

Candidates for master and PhD students:


1. Materials engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, mechanics, Chemistry, or related fields.


2. Strong teamwork and communication skills.


3. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must submit valid HSK reports (HSK Level 5 or above) within 2 years. It is not necessary to provide HSK report if your previous educational language is Chinese in a Chinese university.

4. Applicants for English-taught programs shall provide relevant English proficiency certificates. The minimum scores for different English tests are: IELTS 6.0 Academic, TOEFL 90, Duolingo 105, within 2 years. It is recommended to submit GRE scores at the same time (if any).

Short-time programme
CEP programme

     To promote international exchanges and mutual learning among young talents, the China International Talent Exchange Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the "Foundation") established the China Exchange Program for International Young Talents (hereinafter referred to as the "CEP Program") . According to the work plan, the application process for the CEP Program is now officially launched. The relevant details are as follows:

I. Objectives and Principles
The CEP Program adheres to the principles of openness and inclusiveness for development, mutual empowerment for shared growth, and merit-based selection for practical results. It provides funding for outstanding foreign young talents to visit China for exchanges, international internships, and short-term work, aiming to enhance their understanding and knowledge of China and foster "mutual understanding, friendship, and collective growth" among young people from China and abroad.


II. Funding Categories

Exchange Visits: Funding for foreign youth to participate in group exchange activities in China for no more than 30 days.International Internships: Funding for foreign students to undertake internships in their field of study or research in China for no more than 60 days.Short-term Work: Funding for foreign graduates to engage in short-term work in their field of study or research in China for no more than 90 days.

III. Application Requirements:

(1). Requirements for Foreign Youth Applicants

Aged between 18 and 35 (born on or after January 1, 1990, and on or before January 1, 2007).
(2). Currently enrolled in or graduated within the last three years from a foreign higher education institution (including vocational and technical colleges) with a relevant degree (undergraduate, master's, or doctoral).
(3). Possess strong language communication skills. Be in good physical and mental health, have no criminal record, and commit to complying with Chinese laws during their stay in China.

IV. Application Timeline

1. First Round of the year CEP Program:
  Covers projects executed between July 15, and October 31. Domestic host institutions must complete their applications via the Foundation’s Project Management Platform by July 14 (to register and submit applications).
2. Second Round of the 2025 CEP Program:
  Covers projects executed between November 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. Domestic host institutions must complete their applications via the Foundation’s Project Management Platform by October 1, 2025 (application portal to open later; specific deadlines will be announced separately).

V. Funding Support

1. Funding Coverage:
The grant primarily subsidizes one-time international travel expenses and international travel insurance (must include accident and medical coverage for the entire stay in China).
2. For international internships and short-term work, host institutions must sign a work agreement with the foreign youth and provide compensation as stipulated.
3. Funding Amounts (Pre-tax):
   Exchange Visits: ¥10,000/person.
  International Internships: ≤30 days: ¥15,000/person.  31–60 days: ¥20,000/person.
   Short-term Work: ≤30 days: ¥15,000/person.  31–60 days: ¥20,000/person.  61–90 days: ¥25,000/person.
4. Funding Management:
   Grants are allocated as fixed amounts based on project type and duration.
   Funds follow the principles of lump-sum use, retention of surplus, no additional subsidies for overruns, and dedicated use.
   Surplus funds may be reallocated by host institutions for direct expenses related to international youth exchanges or program promotion.
